Reliable for my projects

I've been using QuickNode for a while now for various projects, mainly with their Solana Nodes and sometimes their NFT API. This latest order for a Dedicated Node was just as reliable as my previous experiences. The performance is consistent, which is important for what I do. It's why I keep coming back; I know what to expect and they deliver every time.

Easy to get set up

Got an Ethereum Node set up here. It was pretty straightforward, no fuss at all. I just picked what I needed, clicked a few buttons, and it was good to go. The developer dashboard is easy to navigate. Everything went smoothly and I didn't hit any snags. Definitely a simple experience.

Solid service, few minor points

I needed a Polygon Node for a new app and QuickNode did a good job overall. The setup was quick, and the RPC Node performance has been reliable. My only minor gripe was that finding the specific documentation for the Trace API took a little longer than expected. Otherwise, the customer service was responsive when I had a billing question. It's a strong platform, just a small tweak to documentation navigation would make it even better.

Good value for a new user

I was looking for a cost-effective way to get started with Web3 dev and QuickNode had some decent offers. I signed up for a build plan and applied the free credits. It definitely made the initial investment feel more manageable. The overall value for money was good, especially for a first-timer like me.

So happy with my Base Node!

Oh my goodness, I just got a Base Node with QuickNode and it's fantastic! The speed is incredible, and the developer tools are so useful. I was up and running in minutes, and everything just works perfectly. I am so glad I chose them! I'll totally be using QuickNode again for my next project and telling everyone about it!

how easy is it to switch from monthly to annual billing? is there a discount if I do?

E Elena K. 1 month ago
Super easy. I just changed it in my account settings. And yeah, they usually give you a decent discount, like 20% off for annual.

G Greg Kaur 4 weeks ago
Yep, definitely a discount for annual. Mine popped up as an option when I was looking at billing. Saves a good chunk of change over the year.

anyone know if they do special deals around like Black Friday or those big crypto conferences?

L Laura 1 month ago
Oh for sure. I snagged a pretty sweet deal during ETHDenver last year. Keep an eye out around those times, especially Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

They definitely do. My team got extra credits during Consensus one year. It's usually advertised on their site or via email.

how do I actually apply a coupon code? is it during signup or later in settings?

N Nick 1 month ago
It's usually during checkout when you're picking a plan or setting up your billing. There should be a field for it.

When you're upgrading or first subscribing, you'll see a spot for a promo code on the payment page, I think.

are quicknode's nodes actually fast? I've had issues with other providers being slow sometimes.

S Sophie Silva 1 month ago
Their nodes are pretty quick, honestly. They're optimized for performance. I noticed a difference compared to my previous provider.

In my experience, yes. I use them for a dApp with decent traffic and haven't had any noticeable latency issues. They claim to have pretty good infrastructure.

what's the difference between their 'build' and 'scale' plans? is 'build' enough for just playing around and some light development?

T Todd Beaumont 1 month ago
Build is usually fine for dev and testing, or if your app isn't getting huge traffic yet. Scale is for when you're actually pushing to production and need more requests/features.

S Sarah 1 month ago
Build plan is totally sufficient for learning and initial development. Scale adds more requests, support, and some advanced features, so you'd upgrade when your app gets bigger.

Is quicknode any good compared to Infura? I'm using Infura right now but thinking of switching for better performance.

N Nina 4 weeks ago
I switched from Infura to Quicknode a while back. For me, Quicknode has been way more reliable and faster, especially for stuff that needs lower latency.

M Mia 4 weeks ago
Depends on your needs, honestly. Quicknode usually has better uptime and more networks, but Infura is pretty solid too for basic stuff. Might be worth testing both on your specific use case.

does quicknode support testnets for like Ethereum or Polygon? I need to develop against those first.

P Paula L. 1 month ago
Absolutely. They support both mainnet and testnets for pretty much all the chains they cover. Never had an issue with that.
3
D Dana 1 month ago
Yep, you can connect to testnets. It's one of the basic features, usually, all the providers have that.

hey, was thinking of trying quicknode for a new project. do they offer any kind of free trial or credits for new users?

C Cody V. 1 month ago
yeah, I got some free credits when I signed up. I think it was like $50 or something, enough to mess around with it for a bit.

R Renee J. 1 month ago
They usually have a free tier or some kind of starter credit. Check their site, usually pretty clear about it. I used it for a month before committing.
